Bill has joined Burson- Marsteller as the Managing Director for the U.S. Digital practice where he is responsible for management and driving client value for the U.S. offices.

He began his 20 year integrated marketing career in media planning at the Bloom Agency in New York. He then made the jump to account management at Wells, Rich, Greene where he managed brands such as Sheraton Hotels and Liberty Mutual. Bill then moved to Bozell Worldwide where he worked on the Valvoline Company of brands where he helped drive the brand to #2 and was part of the Gold Effie team. He got his first taste of digital on the Lycos.com brand that grew into the #2 Web portal. At Bozell, he managed all of the Lycos businesses from search to community to ecommerce.

Bill decided to test the entrepreneurial waters and joined a Voice-Over IP software start-up company called PhoneFree.com. There he was responsible for all internal and external brand communications, overseeing the advertising, PR and promotional agencies. He helped drive the brand to #1 in the space. Bill then joined Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Health + Wellness to take leadership of the Transitions Optical brand which he managed for over four years.  At Saatchi, he also ran a fully integrated brand for Schering Plough.

Bill is a graduate with a B.A. from the University of Delaware where he was captain of the Division 1 lacrosse team. He is also a British Naval historian and is addicted to Manchester United Football Club.
