Radiohead continues trusting their fans. They have partnered with Aniboom (a animation/video social site - think YouTube and Akira) to hold a music video contest for the In Rainbows album. People will be asked to submit animations clips and while the competition will be judged by the community, Aniboom, and Radiohead themselves.
Remember that Radiohead offered their album, In Rainbows, to be download at a price determined by each fan, some paid $0, some paid $12. Seems like more and more the middle men (music labels and now producers / directors) are being left out. NIN (Nine Inch Nails) dropped their record label and sold their latest album online ($5) - they grossed $1.6million in the first week. Both NIN and Radiohead trust their fans…

Ah, but not all trust is created equal.
Trent has been somewhat vocal about what he perceives to be less-than-trusting motives of Radiohead. Specifically, that Radiohead only offered the download program for a limited time, and did so more to promote the hard-copy of the CD that would continue through traditional channels.
As always, those on the cutting edge can’t resist the urge to turn their blades on each other… “Bow down before the one you serve, You’re going to get what you deserve.”
